Professor David Chalmers and Dr Rachael Briggs were recently recognised by Philosophy Now Magazine in results from a survey of academic philosophers.

In a survey to mark the 21st Anniversary of Philosophy Now magazine, 75 respondents were asked to list the five living philosophers they considered to be the most interesting and important. Professor Chalmers achieved an outstanding result, being voted second with 11 votes after Saul Kripke, with 14 votes.

Dr Rachael Briggs was acknowledged as a rising star of philosophy, considered to be one of the most worth watching. Dr Briggs was one of only two philosophers to be mentioned four times by respondents, reinforcing her position as a young philosopher to watch.
